SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly six months have passed since Sebastian Rogers went missing from the Hendersonville area of Sumner County.

His father, Seth Rogers, told News 2 that it feels like time stands still since his son's disappearance.

“It feels like one continuous day,” Rogers said. “We are still looking and getting tips. We want awareness so my son’s case doesn’t disappear.”

The case of 15-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers is one that has intrigued the country. On Feb. 26, 2024, the teen disappeared from his mother and stepfather's home in Hendersonville.

However, investigators said the teen with autism wasn't seen leaving on home security cameras. Since then, search crews have used boats, helicopters and horses in an attempt to find Sebastian.

"The more the merrier and all hands on deck," family friend Tony Mathis. "We have other organizations that are qualified to come in and help."

To keep Sebastian's name out there, the owners of Mikaela's Mutt Motel are hosting an event in his honor.

The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Fallen Brewery in Clarksville. "His family reached out and said the adored animals and they wanted to give back to animals," said owner Mikaela Lambert. "We are touched by the whole story."

Seth, Sebastian's father, said this event is just another way to continue to spread awareness for his son.

“We’re wanting the community to show up and spread awareness that he’s still missing and we want to find him," he told News 2.

Seth is asking everyone to not give up on hope in finding Sebastian. "As a father you realize a lot of the things you do are for your children. All I can think about is trying to find him."

The Sumner County interim sheriff said one detective a day is assigned to the missing teen's case.

In fact, a protest will be held outside the Sumner County Sheriff's Office on Monday, Aug. 26. Seth said he hopes it will encourage investigators to find answers regarding his son's whereabouts.

Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers, 15, was reported missing on Monday, Feb. 26 from the Beech area in Hendersonville.
