NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A townhome in West Nashville was heavily damaged after a car caught on fire in the garage Thursday morning.
Fire crews responded to the 5600 block of Lenox Avenue just after 8:30 a.m. after receiving reports that a car was on fire at the location.

Crews said when they arrived on scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the top of the townhome. Fire officials said a 2-alarm response was initiated, but downgraded shortly after.
In a statement to News 2, a spokesperson for the Nashville Fire Department said personnel made an attack on the fire, knocked it down and extinguished it Thursday morning.
One of the townhome's appeared to have substantial damage and two vehicles were destroyed inside the garage. However, no injuries were reported.
It remains unclear what led to the fire. No other information was immediately released.
