Woman in wheelchair dies after being hit by vehicle on Lebanon Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 56-year-old woman in a wheelchair has died after she was hit by a vehicle on Lebanon Pike in Hermitage Thursday evening.

The crash happened after 8 p.m. in the 4100 block of Lebanon Pike near Tyler Drive.

According to Metro police, the woman was crossing the street in her wheelchair when she was hit by a vehicle.

Investigators believe the driver of a Subaru Outback was traveling east on Lebanon Pike when the woman was hit. She was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where she died.

There was no evidence of impairment at the scene. The crash occurred outside of a crosswalk.

Efforts are underway to notify the woman's next-of-kin.

No additional information was immediately released.
