Man dead after crash on I-40 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 44-year-old Mt. Juliet man was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 in Nashville late Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 212.

According to Metro police, Jesse Weston was driving a BMW S35I when it crashed into the back of a semi-truck as it slowed down with traffic. The BMW went completely under the truck and Weston died at the scene, according to a release.

Metro police reported there was no signs of impairment at the scene.

The roadway was closed to traffic until 3:15 a.m.

No additional information was immediately released.
