NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities responded to a bomb threat call at an apartment complex on Friday night.
Authorities responded to a call from the Vine Hill Towers apartment complex, which has been described by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) as "an Elderly and Disabled Property," just before 7 p.m.
Officers on scene told News 2 that someone reportedly called in a threat to the complex, so authorities evacuated everyone from the building. The scene could go on for a few more hours, officers added.
News 2 has reached out to the Nashville Fire Department (NFD) and the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) for more information.
A spokesperson for MNPD told News 2 that a bomb threat was called into the communications center, which prompted the evacuation. Officers did not find anything upon searching the building, and police assisted residents back in the building.
