NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a toddler.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said Keith Swanson was arrested Wednesday, April 17 after he allegedly killed 22-month-old Myrikle Belin on Monday, April 15.

Swanson's girlfriend, Myrikle's aunt, was Myrikle's legal guardian, according to investigators.
Police said Myrikle was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center from her Riverside Drive home after Swanson called 911 just before 8:30 a.m. Monday and reported Myrikle was unresponsive. She died just after arriving at the hospital.

Detectives found numerous bruises on Myrikle's face, head, and chest. An autopsy revealed internal scalp lacerations, hemorrhaging, and a swollen brain, according to police.
The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.
Detectives said Myrikle's aunt told them she left home at around 7:30 a.m. Monday to attend a college class. She said Myrikle was awake and talking prior to her leaving home.
Swanson's bond was set at $250,000.
