NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man accused of raping a woman months ago at a Nashville park was taken into custody Tuesday over 800 miles away.

Metro Nashville police said 28-year-old Ali Alladin Ali was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Minneapolis for charges stemming from the Feb. 6 incident.

According to authorities, Ali and the victim had met on a dating site prior to the alleged assault at Peeler Park, located off the Cumberland River in the Madison area.

Detectives said Ali was giving the woman a ride to work when he drove to the park and allegedly forced her to perform oral sex on him. He also reportedly threatened to kill her during the incident.

Ali is expected to be brought back to Nashville soon to face charges for aggravated rape, rape, attempted rape and aggravated kidnapping, police reported.
