SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — Spring Hill police have advised residents to avoid the area near the Target in the Crossings of Spring Hill on Wednesday night due to a shots fired investigation.
According to a social media post at 7:40 p.m., the Spring Hill police had an increased police presence at the Target due to an incident inside the store that led to at least one shot being fired. Officers set up a perimeter around the store. Police added that there were no known victims in the shots fired incident.
At 8:28 p.m., police added that a preliminary investigation found that two women got into a verbal argument inside the store before the fight escalated and "at least one gunshot" was fired. The parties did not know each other, police said.
Roughly an hour later, police released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

"The suspect was seen exiting the building and getting into a vehicle," police added in a 9:51 p.m. update. "There is no known threat in the area at this time."
At 10:29 p.m., Spring Hill police said that they had identified the suspect, adding in a separate post that the suspect has provided detectives with a statement. Anyone with information about this incident can submit a tip to Spring Hill police at this link.
