WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Health Facilities Commission approved the construction of a freestanding emergency room in White House.
The goal of the new facility, according to officials, is to provide more convenient and high-quality medical care to the area. TriStar Hendersonville will build the facility at the intersection of Raymond Hirsch Parkway and Highway 31 W. The facility will feature:
- 11 treatment rooms
- A trauma room
- An imaging department
- A nursing station
- Support space
The space helps meet a need in Robertson County and Sumner County; as of publication, White House residents have to travel between 25 and 35 minutes to reach the nearest emergency medical facility.
"The White House community has made us their hospital of choice over the years, and we are especially grateful for their extraordinary support for this project," chief executive officer at TriStar Hendersonville, Justin Coury, said in a press release. "We are thrilled to bring our life saving care closer to home, and we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional care to residents in Robertson and Sumner counties."
