MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man is dead following a Thursday night crash along South Church Street in Murfreesboro, officials said.
The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) took to social media shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 to alert the public about the crash, which closed down a portion of South Church Street.

Authorities initially reported three people were taken to a local hospital and at least one of the victim's sustained serious injuries.
However, at approximately 9:44 p.m., the police department confirmed that a man died in the two-vehicle crash and no other injuries were reported.
All lanes of South Church Street from Rushwood and Broad are closed as crews work to clear the scene, police said.
It remains unclear how long the roadway will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
The crash is under investigation by MPD's Fatal Accident Crash Team. Additional details were not immediately released.
