Teen injured in Germantown shooting, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a teen injured Friday afternoon in the Germantown neighborhood.

Metro Nashville Dispatch confirmed that officers were sent to a shooting that was reported in the 1700 block of Jenkins Street just before 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15. Officers found a shell casing in a vehicle at the scene, indicating that the suspect shot at him at least once.

Officers at the scene told News 2 a 17-year-old boy received a non-life-threatening injury to his lower extremities. He was transported to the pediatric unit of Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Detectives added that the teen is in stable condition.

Authorities added that the suspect ran towards Jane Street and then headed to the Metro Center area. The search for the suspect is ongoing.
