MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officers in Mt. Juliet arrested two Nashvillians, recovering drugs and a weapon in the process of a traffic stop on Friday.
In a post to social media, the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD) said that authorities performed a traffic stop on Interstate 40 for a window tint violation. The 19-year-old driver was in possession of a Glock handgun with an unlawful automatic switch.

Additionally, the MJPD said that the teen possessed burglary tools and marijuana packaged for resale. A 20-year-old passenger was also unlawfully possessing a handgun and was wanted out of Nashville for theft of a firearm.
Both were booked into the Wilson County jail, though authorities added that an investigation is ongoing.
