At least 2 injured following 2 separate crashes in Maury County

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Maury County firefighters had to perform two vehicle extrications on Friday, one of which ended with two people being brought to the hospital.

According to the Maury County Fire Department, the first incident happened on Theta Pike shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, but crews only needed to remove a windshield to free an occupant.

No additional details were released about that crash, including the condition of the motorist who was involved.

As for the second incident from Friday, fire officials said it occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Double Branch Road. When personnel arrived on scene, they found two occupants, one of whom was heavily entrapped, so they got to work freeing the passenger.

A member of the Franklin Fire Department reportedly heard the wreck from his home and provided assistance at the scene.

According to the Maury County Fire Department, Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services transported both occupants to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. There is no word on the nature of their injuries.

Officials said Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No additional information has been released about it.
