NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was found shot outside of a shopping complex in East Nashville early Sunday morning.
Just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Ewing Drive.
According to a release from the Metro Nashville Police Department, Gerald Muse, 45, had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said a ski mask and a stolen handgun were found near his body.
Multiple people reportedly told officers they heard gunshots from the parking lot.
The MNPD said investigators are "pursuing active leads," but the motive for the shooting remains unclear. No additional information was released.
