FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) -- One person was flown to a burn unit after being injured in a Franklin County fire Saturday afternoon.

According to the Keith Springs Volunteer Fire Department, units were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 to a possible structure fire in the Keith Springs Mountain Road area called in by an airplane pilot flying overhead.

When personnel arrived at the scene, they found a structure fully involved in flames, as well as a person with "minor to severe burns," officials said. Priority EMS responded to the scene to take care of the individual, who was reportedly airlifted to a burn unit.

The Keith Springs Volunteer Fire Department said its crews -- along with members of the Fourth District Volunteer Fire Department, the Belvidere Volunteer Fire Department, the Winchester Fire Department, and Decherd Fire and Rescue -- worked to suppress the fire.
