NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville police arrested a 19-year-old in connection with a deadly October shooting, according to social media.

Malik Turrentine was apprehended following a foot chase after leaving a store on Dickerson Pike Tuesday, according to an X post from the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Turrentine was arrested for the October 6 shooting of 44-year-old Michael Harvell outside a residential treatment program for men on Foster Avenue. A Monday press release from MNPD said that an investigation revealed that there had been a fight among residents on Saturday, during which Harvell’s stepson was allegedly assaulted.

“Turrentine emerged outside of a building, was confronted, and fatally shot Harvell," a previous MNPD press release stated.

The following day, a criminal homicide warrant was issued for Turrentine and the MNPD said that he was considered "armed and dangerous."
