NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A ground stop has been issued at Nashville International Airport due to the severe storms moving through Middle Tennessee.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued the ground stop around 5:25 p.m. due the line of severe storms and possible tornadoes that have caused shelter-in-place orders around the Nashville area.
Nashville was under a tornado warning until 6 p.m., the National Weather Service said, but the warning was dropped shortly after 5:35 p.m. The NWS said strong winds would still be in the area, however.
