2 killed, 7 injured in Trigg County crash

TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) -- A Sunday morning wreck in Trigg County reportedly left two people dead and sent seven others to the hospital.

According to WKDZ Radio, the Trigg County Sheriff's Office said an SUV was exiting the westbound lanes of I-24 onto U.S. Route 68 when it collided with another SUV that was traveling along U.S. 68 shortly after 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The radio station said two people in the first SUV were pronounced dead at the scene while a third person was taken to the hospital. In addition, six people from the second SUV were reportedly brought to the hospital, including at least two who were flown to Nashville.

WKDZ Radio said all lanes on U.S. 68 were blocked at I-24 while the crash was cleared and investigated.
