NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man died after being shot while riding a miniature motorbike in the Napier area overnight, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Officers were first called to the scene near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Fain Street just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday after gunshots were reportedly heard in the area.
MNPD said officers found a man — who has not yet been identified — on the right side of Fain Street next to the motorbike with multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead, according to authorities.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify him through fingerprints, officials said.
