NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was arrested over the weekend after reportedly driving away in a stolen vehicle in front of Metro officers who were there to retrieve it.
Jacob Mcneil, 30, is in Metro jail following the incident.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, on Dec. 8, officers located the stolen vehicle at an apartment complex in the 800 block of Glastonbury Drive and called for a tow truck to retrieve it.

While they were waiting for the tow truck to arrive, Mcneil reportedly got into the vehicle and drove away.
Officers followed him to a nearby Dunkin' Donuts on Briley Parkway, where he exited the vehicle and was placed under arrest, documents said.
Officials said a loaded handgun was found in the waistband of his pants, which was not stolen or used in the vehicle theft. During a search of the vehicle, officers found 11.4 grams of marijuana, which Mcneil allegedly admitted belonged to him.
Mcneil was charged with vehicle theft and misdemeanor drug possession. His bond is set at $8,500.
