Authorities reported on July 17, Pouncey attempted to break into a home in the 4000 block of Packard Drive when he was caught by the victim's sister.

The woman told officers she was at her residence next door when she saw a vehicle in his driveway. She walked over to the house to see what was happening when she reportedly heard sawing noises coming from behind the house.

The woman walked around the back of the house to find Pouncey standing at the back door attempting to open it with a screwdriver, according to court documents.

The victim and his sister confronted Pouncey, at which point he reportedly got back into the vehicle and attempted to drive away.

According to police reports, the victim was standing in the driveway when Pouncey "put the vehicle in reverse and intentionally hit the victim with the vehicle" before driving forward through the yard and fleeing the scene.

Officers said the storm door in the back of the home was damaged from being pried open.

The victim provided MNPD with photos of Pouncey and his vehicle, which helped police identify him. He is being held in Metro jail on a $20,000 bond.
