Firefighter, resident hurt in Antioch house fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people, including a Nashville firefighter, were injured by a house fire in Antioch Thursday morning.

According to the Nashville Fire Department (NFD), crews were dispatched to a Fanning Drive home in Antioch. When they arrived on scene around 7 a.m., there was heavy smoke coming from multiple sides of a home.

NFD crews initially made an interior attack on the fire before pulling out for a defensive attack as the fire spread.

One firefighter and one civilian were taken from the scene with "minor injuries related to the fire" to an area hospital, according to NFD Public Information Officer Kendra Loney.

The scene remains active as crews are working to fully extinguish the flames, Loney told News 2.
