NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The rankings are in, and two Nashville eateries have been named among the best new restaurants in the US for 2024, according to Yelp's "Best New Restaurants of 2024" list.
To formulate the list, which only features 25 restaurants, Yelp identified eateries that opened after Jan. 1, 2023, then ranked them based on the total number of reviews, ratings and consulted with Yelp experts to determine which spots people were loving the most.
Although California and Texas dominated the list — with both states boasting four restaurants each— two Nashville eateries were named among the hotspots.
Here are the Nashville restaurants named on the 2024 list:
Noko
After being named Yelp's best new restaurant in the South and recognized by OpenTable among the Top 100 restaurants in the country, this East Nashville restaurant has once again found itself at the center of attention.
The wildly popular restaurant landed as the second best new spot in the US, featuring a fire-powered menu where "East-meets-West" fusion.
"The fire-powered menu features East-meets-West fusions like the Wagyu Brisket, which is smoked for 12–14 hours and seasoned with togarashi (a chile-heavy Japanese spice blend), and Caesar Salad with kimchi dressing and panko breadcrumbs," wrote Yelp.
Gannons Nashville
Copious amounts of oysters and champagne, flashy gold-and-black decorations and live jazz bands are what got Gannons Nashville to claim No. 23 on the list. According to Yelp, the menu is stacked with classic American comfort foods, along with some Italian and French influences.

“This is casual fine dining at its paramount! Don’t let the eatery’s location of being at a Marriott Courtyard Hotel keep you away. Shortly after we arrived, a jazz trio took the elevated stage and played some entertaining music. They were quite good! My lobster bisque with cognac was perhaps the best I have ever had," wrote one Yelp user.
