NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — On Tuesday, Metro Council decided the fate of a sign over a country music star's honky tonk.

The resolution to hang a sign over Morgan Wallen's 'This Bar' received two committee reports for approval of the sign before Council overwhelmingly approved the resolution.

Only Councilmember Delishia Porterfield voted down the resolution on Tuesday. Four other council members abstained.

In May, the Council voted against allowing signage over the honky tonk, with several councilmembers citing Wallen's use of racial slurs and throwing of a chair over a rooftop as part of the reason.

Last week, Wallen pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges in relation to the chair throwing case.
