Officials said the victim — who was identified as a 30-year-old woman — left the bar with her sister and a friend around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 and got into their vehicle, which was parked on 10th Avenue North.
An investigation from the MNPD found that Tankard approached the driver's side window and asked the driver, the victim's sister, if she knew a specific male. The sister reportedly told Tankard she did not know the person and an argument was sparked between the women, which eventually turned physical. The victim then exited the vehicle and tried to break up the fight.
Tankard got into her Range Rover and drove to the opposite end of the street before turning back around and accelerating at a "high rate of speed" toward the women, according to the MNPD. The victim was struck by the vehicle and critically injured, suffering multiple broken bones.
According to officials, Tankard was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the incident due to a previous domestic assault arrest in another county, which placed her at the scene. Additionally, court documents said the victim's sister and friend positively identified Tankard as the Range Rover driver.

In addition to the felony charge of attempted first-degree murder, Tankard is charged with misdemeanor failure to notify law enforcement, misdemeanor failure to give information or render aid, and misdemeanor failure to file a report for a crash with injury or damage, based on Davidson County Sheriff's Office records. She is being held on a $1,002,000 bond.
