A Marginal Risk for severe weather has been issued for Saturday south of I-40. Heavy rainfall and minor flooding will be the main threats. A few strong storms and gusty winds can't be ruled out.

Two systems are knocking on Middle Tennessee's door with the first coming in on Friday. Friday's system will bring rain chances overnight moving west to east. West of I -65 can expect to be mostly dry by the afternoon with areas east of I-65 keeping rain around through the evening.
On Saturday, storms move in from the south to the north. Showers will start as early as about 2 AM and become more widespread through the morning. The severe threat is on Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid 60s and the atmosphere will be unstable. Most of the rain will clear by Sunday evening.
A few strong storms are possible, but the main threat is flash flooding and gusty winds.

Friday, a quarter of an inch to an inch of rainfall is possible. Saturday through Sunday an additional inch to three inches of rain is possible. This could lead to flash flooding.
