ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has died after he was shot during an "apparent targeted shooting" in the parking lot of an Antioch shopping center, according to officials.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the shooting was reported just before 1 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of Hamilton Crossings outside of Sky Bar Lounge.
Authorities said 29-year-old Larry Jones was leaving the bar with a friend when he was approached from behind and shot by a male suspect.
The suspect reportedly ran to a nearby vehicle after the shooting and fled the scene.
According to the MNPD, Jones was taken to TriStar Century Farms ER in a private vehicle, where he died.
Anyone with information about the deadly shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000.
No additional information was immediately released as the investigation continues.
