NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) arrested a man Tuesday for allegedly firing into a woman's home "after threatening to kill her."

Authorities said detectives with the MNPD's TITANS unit arrested 33-year-old David Claiborne. A woman reported receiving a threatening text message from Claiborne before he reportedly showed up at her Crutcher Street home, yelled from outside and fired at her door and window. Both she and a juvenile were home at the time of the incident.

Detectives found Claiborne at a Dabbs Avenue home where he tried to flee from a traffic stop. However, the MNPD was able to take him into custody Tuesday afternoon. Additionally, authorities recovered a handgun from his path.
