CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Clarksville police have asked for information from the public after responding to a deadly "domestic-related" stabbing early Monday morning.

Officers with the Clarksville Police Department said they responded to a reported stabbing call from an Eastern Hills Drive residence at about 2 a.m. Monday morning. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old woman — whose identity has not been released — and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Luis Alejandro Papra Montiel, 35, fled the scene before officers arrived. However, the Tennessee Highway Patrol's (THP's) aviation unit helped find Montiel in a nearby wooded area. Authorities took him into custody without further incident and an investigation revealed the incident to be "domestic-related."
