NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are searching for a suspect who reportedly opened fire on a vehicle driving along Nolensville Pike early Monday morning, killing one person and critically wounding another.

Officers initially responded to an Apple crash alert in the 2100 block of Nolensville Pike around 3 a.m. after a grey sedan crashed into a building. On the scene, officers discovered the victims inside the vehicle.

Two victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and the driver — later identified as 22-year-old Ahmed Amran — was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, a 23-year-old man, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the back.

Metro police stated another 23-year-old man arrived at Southern Hills Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg related to the incident. At this point in the investigation, authorities said a person believed to have been in the hookah bar retrieved a gun from a vehicle in the parking lot and shot at the Honda as it left.

Authorities closed all lanes of Nolensville Pike between Joyner Avenue and Woodbine Street during the investigation. Photos from the scene show severe damage to the law office where the vehicle crashed.

No additional information was released as the investigation continues. Anyone with information on this case has been asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-743-7463. You can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
