Boil water notice issued for Woodbury

CANNON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The town of Woodbury in Cannon County has issued a boil water notice for its residents after possible contamination at its water treatment facility.

Flooding at the Woodbury Water Treatment Plant Saturday resulted in the possible contamination to the plant's treated water, according to a release.

Residents are asked to boil their water until 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18.

The boil water notice includes drinking water, water used for washing dishes, brushing your teeth and making ice.

The plant has been shut down until it can be completely disinfected, an no contaminated water left the plant.
