NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Another round of severe thunderstorms is in the forecast. For the third time in eight days, Middle Tennessee is under the risk for severe weather.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 1 and level 2 risk for severe thunderstorms.

Most of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are under the level 1 out of 5 marginal risk with a few of our southwest counties under the level 2 out of 5 slight risk.
The biggest risk will come from gusty winds, but all risks are possible and must be taken seriously. There is even a very low threat of a tornado.

The strongest thunderstorms will impact our area on Sunday evening. There is a chance for showers and a few non-severe thunderstorms on Sunday morning, but you will need to be weather alert Sunday evening into the very early hours of Monday morning.
The easiest way to stay weather alert is by downloading the WKRN Weather Authority app. It will send you those life-saving alerts and interactive radar so you can see where the storms are going.
