TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WKRN) — One person was killed after authorities attempted to serve a warrant, according to District Attorney Craig Northcott.
At about 6:30 p.m., shots were fired on West Lincoln Street when Tullahoma Police attempted to serve a warrant to 58-year-old Thomas Hackworth at his place of business. Northcott said the warrant was related to a charge of sexual assault on a minor charge out of Michigan.
An investigation surrounding the incident is ongoing, Northcott said, and more details would be made public soon. Northcott said Hackworth sustained a gunshot wound to the roof of his mouth.
