NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with a murder victim's stolen vehicle.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said Francisco Almazan-Rojas, 36, was found shot to death around 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 28 in William Pitts Park off Tusculum Road.

According to an arrest report, his vehicle and cell phone were missing. Officers found the vehicle days later, parked and abandoned, 15 miles away on Luton Street.

Authorities said Juan Miguel Pulido, 21, was arrested on Thursday, May 23 after being identified as the driver of a Hyundai Sonata that followed behind the unidentified person who moved Almazan-Rojas’ Ford F-150 pickup truck from the park to Luton Street before abandoning it and entering the Sonata.

Pulido was charged with accessory after the fact since Metro police believe he knew his associate stole the vehicle. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond on Friday, May 24, according to officials.

Metro police said Homicide Unit detectives are still investigating the gunman responsible for the deadly shooting, as well as the motive behind the incident. If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
