NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Crews with Nashville Electric Service (NES) have restored power to a portion of downtown Nashville.

NES said crews had been working to restore power to about 50 commercial customers, adding that the outage was "due to equipment damage caused by a contractor installing lighting for a residential development."
The outage was primarily in the Nashville Yards area, ranging from 7th Avenue to 11th Avenue, between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and McGavock Street.
