NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville International Airport has launched a new program that allows non-travelers to access post-security areas.
The airport announced the launch of the BNA PASSport guest pass program on Monday, July 1, which allows guests to enjoy the airport beyond checkpoints.

Beginning July 1, guests who are not planning to travel can shop, plane-watch, eat, view art exhibits, or meet loved ones at the gate.
However, airport officials say the passes are limited to 75 daily. Officials added that the airport can restrict the number of individual passes per day if needed.
How does the BNAPassport program work?
To get a guest pass, individuals need to submit an application, providing a minimum 24-hour notice and up to seven days in advance before their visit.
Participants will be required to follow the same security regulations as any passenger that boards an aircraft. For example, guests must comply with TSA's screening procedures.
What is the application process?
Those wishing to submit an application must complete a registration process using their passport or state-issued ID. During the registration, guests need to enter details like their name and birthdate. Any discrepancies in the information can lead to TSA denial.

Where are non-travelers allowed?
Guests with BNAPassport will be allowed to access post-security areas between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., according to the airport.
However, before entering those areas, non-travelers will still have to go through security checkpoints. Airport officials say priority will be granted to ticketed passengers and those with guest passes may be required to wait.
The airport added those wishing to meet family members post-security at a gate can only do so with passengers who arriving on a domestic flight.
