NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A large police presence was spotted along a South Nashville street Saturday afternoon.

Metro Nashville dispatch told News 2 just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 there was a barricaded individual in the 3300 block of Mimosa Drive.

According to an officer at the scene, the Metro Nashville Police Department got a "check the welfare" call at the address and learned one of the people involved had aggravated assault warrants related to the call.

Authorities said they were able to confirm that person was at the home, but he was hiding. Law enforcement entered the residence, citing exigent circumstances and screaming, and cleared it up to the point where they figured the individual was hiding.

Due to the location where the subject was believed to be hiding, which the officer called a "bad spot," the SWAT team was called in. The SWAT team used drones and managed to track down the person, who came out and was taken into custody without incident.

According to police, nobody was injured over the course of the incident, which was "all family-related." The only people in the home at the time were the family members who live there.
