BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WKRN) -- A Middle Tennessee man was arrested for multiple offenses -- including vehicular homicide -- after a woman was killed in a Wednesday morning crash in Southern Kentucky.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, officers were called to a collision in the 300 block of Lovers Lane shortly before 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they said they found 40-year-old Ashley C. Porter of Bowling Green, dead as a result of the crash.
Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle was brought to the Medical Center at Bowling Green, where officers reportedly took him into custody.
Police said they determined 30-year-old Ryan T. Bagwell of White House, was heading north on Lovers Lane when he drove into Porter's lane as she was traveling south.
According to officials, Bagwell is being held on the following charges:
- Vehicular homicide when under the influence of drugs
- First-degree criminal mischief
- First-degree possession of a controlled substance
- First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
- Second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence (third offense)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of marijuana
