MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- An alleged robbery suspect was shot and killed by deputies in Hardin County Sunday evening, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Deputies encountered a robbery suspect from Alabama, later identified as 33-year-old Jonathan Schutte, in a parking lot in the 4700 block of Highway 128 South.
According to reports, officials approached Schutte's car at the scene.
He then allegedly got out and fired his gun at the deputies. This resulted in the deputies firing back, allegedly striking and killing Schutte.
No officials were injured in the shooting.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is currently handling this case.
