Fayetteville High School educator placed on leave after online accusations

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Fayetteville High School teacher has been placed on leave following accusations that were made online, the school system announced Monday.

In a statement made online, Fayetteville City Schools said that a staff member has been placed on administrative leave while they conduct an investigation about allegations that were made online.

Students, families, and community members can be assured that the safety and well-being of our students is of paramount importance," the post read, in part. "Our Director of Schools and administrators are following the policies and procedures of the Fayetteville City School System to ensure we obtain a complete understanding of the situation and that any subsequent determinations will be made in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.

At this time, the school system has not revealed the nature of the online accusations that led to the investigation.
