Motorcyclist dead following Warren County crash

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) -- One person died Wednesday morning after a motorcycle was involved in a crash outside of a Southern Kentucky school.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, the Warren County Sheriff's Office announced on social media that deputies were at the scene of a "serious collision" in front of Warren East High School.

Motorists were asked to expect delays while traffic was being diverted.

Then, at 9:10 a.m., officials provided an update, saying the motorcyclist had died from injuries sustained in the crash. Once all next-of-kin have been notified, authorities will release the motorcyclist's identity.

"Please remain patient and vigilant while the WCSO remains on scene to reconstruct the accident," the sheriff's office wrote.

No additional details have been released about this incident.
