NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Donelson residents will soon be able to get a piece of the Great White North when coffee giant Tim Hortons opens.
The Canadian coffeehouse chain has filed permits to renovate a former Krystal location on Lebanon Pike in Donelson, according to multiple officials.
Metro Councilman Jeff Gregg who serves Donelson in District 15, confirmed "a permit application has been filed for a new Tim Hortons" at the former Krystal location.

"Big news!" the Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce said of the confirmation.
Tim Hortons previously announced it would be expanding into Tennessee in April. At that time, the company said it planned to open three locations in Middle Tennessee.

Sometimes referred to as Tim’s, Timmies, or Timmy’s, Tim Hortons serves coffee, donuts, sandwiches and other fast-food items.
The company was founded in 1964 in Ontario and merged with Burger King in 2014. It is reportedly Canada’s biggest restaurant chain, with more than 5,000 locations in 13 countries.
News 2 has reached out to Tim Hortons for comment. As of publication, we have not heard back.
