NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The ex-boyfriend of a woman found dead in Whites Creek was indicted for second-degree murder, according to a spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

A press release from MNPD stated that 39-year-old Miles Williams was arrested on an outstanding second-degree murder indictment for Emily Bradley.

Bradley, 44, disappeared on Feb. 18, sparking a search effort among her friends. A post to X from MNPD stated that she was reported missing on Feb. 21. However, that search ended on March 2, when her body was found in Whites Creek off Buena Vista Pike.

MNPD said someone found Bradley’s body in Whites Creek. The Medical Examiner’s Office said it appears she died of blunt force trauma. Bradley’s car was recovered a couple of days after her body was found.

MNPD said that the investigation was led by Missing Persons Unit detectives and that Friday night's arrest was made in coordination with Specialized Investigations Divisions detectives.

The investigation revealed that Bradley was last seen with Williams. Police added that Williams refused to speak with MNPD detectives on Friday, but he made statements that he had ingested narcotics prior to his arrest.

Williams was transported to General Hospital and will be booked on the murder indictment upon his release, police said in the press release.
