NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at an apartment complex Saturday night in West Nashville.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the shooting took place on Saturday, Aug. 17, at approximately 10 p.m. in the 5800 block of Maudina Avenue.

Officials said the victim, identified as Christopher Rhodes, 25, was moving furniture into his apartment with his girlfriend when they were approached by the suspect in the parking lot.
Before the shots were fired, Rhodes and the suspect engaged in a physical fight due to previous issues between them, police said.
Witnesses told officers they heard multiple gunshots and saw the suspect flee the scene in a car.
Rhodes was then transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. No other information about the incident was immediately released.
