MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) -- The Murfreesboro Police Department's Fatal Accident Crash Team has launched an investigation into a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
Authorities said a woman was found on the road next to a curb near the 800 block of N. Thompson Lane around 6 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to officials, investigators are following up on a few leads, but they believe the woman may have been struck overnight.
