NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was found dead behind a home in Donelson early Monday morning.
Investigators believe the victim, who has not been identified, was lured to a short-term rental home on Maplecrest Drive that was not in use at the time.

The victim arrived to the location just before 1 a.m. with an unidentified woman who led him to the rear of the property, according to a release. Investigators believe a man hiding nearby then approached the victim and shot him multiple times.
According to investigators, the gunman and the woman left the scene of the incident together. The victim died at the scene.
Police said there is no known connection between the owners of the rental property and the parties involved in the shooting at this time.
