NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities recovered a man's body from the Cumberland River on Sunday evening.
A drowning call came in just before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Metro Dispatch. Metro police later told News 2 that Nashville Fire units recovered the body of an adult male from the water.
A spokesperson for the Nashville Fire Department added that Nashville Fire, along with the Office of Emergency Management, recovered a body that was reported seen in the river.
The victim, who was not identified, appears to be between 50 and 60 years old. No further details were immediately released.
