MADISON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officials are investigating a shooting in Madison on Saturday night that left one man dead.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said officers responded to a parking lot behind a business in the 1300 block of Gallatin Pike South just before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
There, authorities said they found 28-year-old Edin Delacruz-Reyes, of Nashville, who was shot multiple times, including at least once in the chest. He was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he later died.
The MNPD stated in a press release that a small group of men were gathered in the parking lot before the shooting.
Homicide and crime scene investigators reportedly responded to the scene overnight. An investigation into the motive of the shooting remains ongoing.
