MNPD launches website dedicated to cold case homicides and missing persons investigations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) announced the launch of a website dedicated to victims of cold case homicides and missing persons investigations.

In a Monday press release, the MNPD said that the website was launched after "many months of development" and features investigations that span from the mid-1960s all the way through 2020.

Entries on the website feature case descriptions and some images with the hope that people may come forward with fresh information.

“Detective teams over the past 50 to 60 years have worked diligently on these cases, which, unfortunately, hit a standstill due to lack of witness information and investigative leads,” MNPD chief John Drake said in the press release. “It is my hope that the constant availability of cold case details through the Internet will jog memories and lead to additional progress.”
