MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Classes have been cancelled and campus offices have been closed at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) for Tuesday, Oct. 29 due to a student suicide in the library.
The university announced that on Tuesday, only operations essential to public safety and service for on-campus students would be open. MTSU will reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 30.-

"In light of today’s tragic death on campus, I have decided to cancel classes and close offices Tuesday," MTSU president, Sidney McPhee, said in a Monday announcement. "My hope is that our community will use this time to grieve and reach out for support resources being made available."
